To achieve the best performance from our 1600 nitro receiver packs and avoid potential hazards, please pay careful attention to the instructions below.
For best performance please charge these cells at no more than 2 amps. Charging at 1 amp is better.
Higher charge rates than these will drastically shorten the life of the pack.
Some charge should always be left in NI-MH cells. The longer you wait between uses the more charge you should leave in them. I recommend leaving at least a 10% charge in them for week to week use. If you plan on not using them for a month or more, I would fully charge them before storing them. After long term storage, the pack may false peak several times before taking a normal charge. Expect some decrease in performance after long periods of inactivity. After the cells are run a few times the much of the performance should be restored. If Nimh cells are allowed to reach 0 volts they will most likely suffer irreparable damage. Therefore it is imperative that you regularly check them and recharge them as necessary.
Do not allow the wires coming out of the pack to rub against the battery box! This can cause a short in the pack and instantly ruin the pack and possibly cause harm to the car as well as personal injury to yourself! |
